Description:
With the Father’s Day coming up quickly, June 19, the theme we are making is “MOJO FOR HIM”. Let’s mix things up a bit and deviate from making women’s jewelry and let’s make men’s jewelry!
Honor our husbands, dads, uncles, brothers – the men in our lives – there is nothing like receiving a handmade gift from the heart.
We want to encourage this event to not only stimulate our creativity but also to be a learning experience for all.
So get those creative juices stirred up and let’s all create something heartwarming for our men!
Sometimes we want to create something for him, and when we finish our piece it looks feminine. Oh No! What to do? What to change? What materials to use?
Sometimes looking at the magazines I like some pieces in leather, cord or metal that I know my son would like to wear. What about my husband? Well, he is more classic. He will never wear something fancy, but I know that a leather masculine bracelet could maybe be in his arm during the weekend.
I think this challenge is perfect for those who want to try some chain maille, some leather braides, some Viking knit mixed with leather...???? What else??
If you are going to make a ring for him, you have to be sure about his size and also to analyze that if he have already a wedding ring, maybe he will not like to wear a second one.

HERE ARE SOME RING TUTORIALS:

If you want to make him a chain, be sure that the gauge you are going to use is from the 20ga to the 16ga, so it will look strong and masculine.
Even though the tutorial here could choose a feminine delicate result, if you make it strong, the look will change.
If you are going to use craft wire, don’t choose bright colors or summer colorful. Try to make it with a plain color, or black, brown, silver, blue, metallic or natural earth colors. (bone, wood , leather etc).
If the tutorial shows some crystals inside, try to not add a stone or use a simple one small.
Also a plus is to make pieces with chain maille. The jump rings in one color and with a good gauge will give great results.

I think that the tutorial suggestion is much longer, so suggest you to search the style you would like to try.
The only thing to care about is the gauge of the wire, the extreme decoration, the colors and stones.
Show your creativity. Lets do something for him.
