Hi. I am Dawn E. Bryant. I am an artist/photographer/artisan jeweler who works in PMC, wire wrap, metalsmithing, bead painting, weaving and anything else that strikes my fancy. I also offer jewelry repairs as a service to the community I live in, as we are so far from such services.
In addition to metalsmithing, wire wrap and PMC, I currently make jewelry that centers on fantastic natural stone focal beads in which I see a "scene or picture" of some sort. I also make jewelry based around original Prismacolor (colored pencil) paintings I do on shrink plastic and use as focals.
My Prismacolor artwork has been published in several venues, including a new NorthLight book by Ann Kullberg that came out this spring.
One of my PMC pieces was featured in the gallery portion of "Metal Clay Artist" magazine.
I hope to expand my online jewelry business so that I am actually contributing to the family budget (which seriously needs stretching).
I teach workshops in photo composition, beading, beginning wire wrap and prismacolor shrink art jewelry at the high school level and through the local art gallery to adults.
Just as I am hungry to learn, I am also happy to share what knowledge I have. I hope no one minds my learning from them and I hope others will be able to learn from me. As it says in the bible, God did not give us our talents just so we could hide them under a bushel - he meant for us to share them. I love to share my jewelry and any knowledge I have that will help someone else expand and grow. :)
