Citrine Cathedral

Description:

I needed a break from processing photos and editing text - (you know what that means.....)So I started diddling, and for me, diddling means making a ring. I don't do rings very often, and if you click on the other pics, you'll see why: I seriously need a hand double to model for me, LOL
But this was worth the time spent - I got to use a hand faceted natural citrine in a setting that keeps it secure. This lovely little stone has a cloud on one side, so I didn't feel too badly about covering some of it. Don't the arches on the side look like the architecture in old cathedrals?
This is a diddle, but I think I'll explore the possibilities a bit more - don't worry, I won't clog up the gallery with them too much....

You do diddle good Perri! This is fab!!! I think the side view looks like a kings crown. And hands... I have to edit mine, and if you look at my rings you'll notice there is only one that shows it on my finger. 8 years in Arizona takes a toll on the skin!

Perri, clog the gallery all you like! This is just superb. I love all of what you do and whenever you 'diddle' up a new design, I am so in awe of your incredible creativity and rather green with envy too :)

Now if you didn't mention your hands, I doubt anyone would even notice, being too busy looking at your gorgeous creations

Your hands are much prettier than my scarred up messes :o) The side view definitely has a crown look to it (not creating my own words this time lol marcasite + purple is a royal color, marquis= marquisite lol) Rambling today - I should get to work!! Love this as always!

Thanks Endearah - I just realized that 'diddle' has several meanings....hmm, and if I try to explain which one I meant, it still comes out wrong....LOL
I am a Photoshop devotee - those hands are edited to the moon!

Vera, you are very sweet! I never have been one to post every little thing that came off my pliers, but I suppose I should follow Bobbi's advice and "be seen" more.
You don't have to look at my hands un-edited - I'm turning into an alligator, slowly! LOL

Rita and Cristina - Oh boy, if the ring Queens on the board like this, it MUST be good!! I guess another tutorial gets added to the to do list, but I'll make some modifications first - I think it sits up too high for the band. Hmmm, time to clog the gallery - LOL

Thanks, Dana! I guess 'crown' is the winner! Those hands are edited like crazy - anybody want my PS recipe? Not quite as good as lotion or plastic surgery, but it works!
I never thought of it being a good pun like that! 'marquisite' it is!

OMG, if only my "diddling" came out like that! Simply gorgeous!

Sooo beautiful! I had a hard time taking my eyes off of it! I would love to try this, waiting for the tutorial.

Thanks, Luv2Bead! Hey, diddling is always a good thing, LOL Something good always happens when you diddle - you just may not recognize it at the time! But that pleasant open state is when you let truly free ideas surface - no pressure, no performance anxiety! LOL
