Hinged Cage Sneak Peek Pics - Tutorial Uploaded

Description:

This design is very, very old - I couldn't even find who originated it. It's a hinged cage - it can be opened to hold gems, special beads, or tumbled stones. When it's closed and on a chain it's impossible to come open accidentally.
UPDATE: The tutorial is done and uploaded. The square ones are actually locket style, and the long one embellishment inspired by Roe (Opal Moon).

If oggling baubles is a sin... I am so doomed!

This is what I was trying to figure out how to do for the Valentine challenge only I wanted it to open from the center. Bit off way more than I could chew lol I think I got it now - but a tut would be MOST helpful :D

LOL Bobbie! MY pliers and tools are off-limits! (my husband has ruined a few using them as garage and house tools! ;))

I greatly admire your work and this little cage pendant is really cool! What a wonderful idea that you can change the treasure captured inside at one's whim! Oh by-the-way...it's nice to see another wire artisan with nails!!! Folks give me a hard time about mine all the time! They are part of a gal's tool arsenal! :) Love looking at your creations. Thanks for sharing your talent!

Thank you thank you Stacy - I can't count the times I've been teased about my nails - and yes, they ARE part of my tool-box. You're referring to my signature? Yes, you can have a kidney if ya need it, but don't touch my pliers - my roommates have ruined a few of them too - "You cut WHAT with special ordered German cutters???"

Oh I love this! I have been meaning to make a cage pendant for my mom in law who has an amazing Tahitian pearl. She has patiently waited for a LOOONG time.
This is awesome since you can change what's inside. Now I am all inspired at last. Thank you so much for sharing this little gem!!!! *mwah*
