Oh, WOW!! This is just gorgeous!! So happy you finished it! :-D
Sorry you missed the deadline, though, as this is a fantastic piece!!

I just love the way you have combined so many techniques, all perfectly executed, and achieved such a wonderful diversity of textures and shapes!

By using the same two colours in all parts, you have tied all these differently shaped beads and weaving details together in perfect harmony!

Having said this, - I'd love some more information, please!!

Did you use metal wire to make the U-shaped focal parts?

Since I'm still new to beadweaving, I don't know more than a few weaves yet. The one you've used is completely new to me.
Is there a name for the lovely and textured weave you used for the "chain" part? (So I can do a search for it.) Or did you invent it yourself?

This is such a fabulous piece!! *big thumbs-up*

Wow, it's incredible! Wonderful colours and shapes! Great job! :)

Wonderful piece!!!

I love the shapes you created with the inverted arches. How cool is that?

You color combination is beautiful to see. It fits the design so well.

Excellent work!

Hi everyone and thanks for the comments. ;-)

The u shaped focal parts are shaped with beadweaving. The stitch used is herringbone weave, or Ndebele if you prefer, using two different sizes of seed beads. I tried to follow the intructions in the last Bead & Button mag, the inspiration to this piece was on the front cover, but I found the instructions quite difficult. I had to rely on my own knowledge of the stitch and the photos. ;-)

The chain part of the necklace is St Petersburg stitch. I love the draping effect it gives. I hope that helps and thanks again for your interest. ;-)
