Description:
This bracelet is a variation of the Turquoise Woven Bracelet that I made a while back. I recieved so many wonderful requests for a tutorial I decided to get to know this piece so I can write a good tutorial for it. I am refining the pattern, making it as simplified as I can without compromising on the aesthetics. I want to know it upside down and inside out before I start writing. Thank you to all of you who have been so encouraging to me. Lisa |

Hey Lisa!!...cool stuff! So glad your doing a tut on this!
There isn't anything not to like about this bracelet.
The composition is just superb...and well - what can I say that I haven't already said about the colours!!..lol Turquoise & Copper are a match made in heaven I think.
As for that central focal bead...wow!!...love how you've done the bezel weave technique on that too!!
Wonderful job!
Suz

I remember this design very well -- I admired it very much originally and do now, as well. I am so happy that you are going to write a tutorial for it. I totally understand your feeling about needing to get to know a piece every which way before teaching it, especially when your "students" are not there in front of you making inconcievable mistakes. Thanks for your mticulous approach to this process. Of course, I am not surprised as this comes across in all you do.
Becky
Wow, gorgeous! I love your designs. I'm a big fan of turq and copper. You're so talented. Judy
Awesome! I am so glad you are creating a tutorial on these. I can hardly wait.....
Denise
A mesmerizing work of art! I am anxiously awaiting the tutorial!
Linda
Hey Suz!
What a nice comment. Thanks!!!
I love turquoise with copper. The two colors are so complimentary and the earthiness of turquoise really appeals to me. And copper is flattering to any skin tone. It is classic and never goes out of style IMHO. I just love it. Oh, I said that already.
Thanks for the encouragement!!!!

HI Heike!
I am thrilled you like it. I will be making another one today with a variation of stones on the front to show that you have creative freedom with what you'd like to make as your focal. I love having options and a little latitude to move in.
Thank you so much!
Lisa
Hi Kokkozik,
I am in the process of making it more simple and straightforward so it won't be so difficult to accomplish. Once you get in the rhythm of the weave, it goes along just fine. As with all things, it takes practice to do well. This bracelet gives you lots of practice to get the weave going well. Copper is much cheaper than silver too so that helps.
Thanks for writing to me.
Lisa
Rita, you are so sweet!
I am glad you like the stones I chose. I tried out three other pairs of stones before I chose these. I just want to understand this pattern the best I can so I know what stones work well and what do not. YOu just have to jump in and try.
Thanks so much!
Lisa
Becky,
That was a very insightful comment and I am deeply flattered by what you said. You are certainly right about having to know the piece well to teach it--especially in a tutorial.
I want to cover as many angles as I can. I'd love your input Becky. We can all help each other because you can see things that I can not. That is important!
Thank you for writing to me!!
Lisa
Hey Judy!
Thanks so much! I am so glad you like bracelets. Some people are ear ring people, some people are bracelet and bangle people. Me, I'm a pendant gal but I am learning to love bracelets and cuffs lately. I guess it is all a part of expanding my repertoire of things to explore.
Thanks again sweetie!
Lisa
Hi Denise,
I hope to give you a tutorial that is worth the wait! I am so encouraged by your enthusiasm. Wow! That is great!
Thanks!
Lisa
Hi Linda,
What an interesting word you used, mesmerizing. I hadn't thought about it in that way. That is quite a compliment.
Wow! Thank you!
Lisa
i have admired your work for so long...i really love this and wish to try it. so i am looking forward to the tutorial and hope i will be able to do it! ;)
Hi Noralyn,
I am simplifying this design as much as I possibly can. I have broken it down into three sections so you can work on each section and feel a sense of accomplishment when you complete it. As in most of my tutorials, there will be some wriggle room so you don't have to have it perfect for it to look good. There will be room for creative focal stones too. I want people to be able to express their own creativity while I teach them a new technique.
Thank you for writing to me! Your encouragement has really been wonderful!

Wow Lisa, you are so right about needing to know a project inside out before you teach it. There are so many things to consider - stability and structural integrity being some of the most important. I wouldn't want my students to feel that I had discovered a stability flaw after I released a tutorial, or had glossed over it completely. Checking and researching the options is part of what we are being paid for in tutorials. Glad to see you are considering your students.

Lisa what do I have to say about this great bracelet? Your weaving is perfect, the colors great together and the look of it an eyes catcher!!! I loved the first you made I love this one too.

Love it!!
Perri,
Thank you for the compliment. I am glad that we agree that considering our students is very important as is evident in the creativity, innovation and high quality of the projects that we here at JL strive to produce.
Lisa
Monica, you made me laugh so hard!
They are kind of like my babies! I put my heart and soul into the creating of them and whenever one of them is sold, it is hard to see them go. But, as long as they find a good, new home, I'm OK with it.

Thank you so much for that sweet comment!
