This show-stopper cuff can also be called a “zipper cuff” because of the way it is constructed: it is woven in two separate parts which are then united at the end, very much like a zipper which is being is closed. The amount of decorative elements added is totally up to you – make it as ornate as you like!

Material List:
  • 20 inches of stainless steel memory wire (24 gauge) for necklace
  • 40 to 50 beads in various shapes colors and materials measuring between 4 to 6mm wide. Beads must fit on 24 ga wire
  • 40 to 50 beads in various shapes colors and materials measuring between 2 to 4mm
  • various interesting metallic beads - spacers and other tiny elements
  • 26 2mm round metallic beads
  • 12 feet 26ga soft wire
  • 1 inch long multi-strand slide clasp with 5 holes
  • scraps of 26 or 28 ga wire measuring 2 to 3 inches

How wide is this bracelet? I've seen the "Gemmy Bracelet" and saw it was about 1" wide, but am curious as to the width of this one.

I really think this might be my favorite tutorial. I've made about five of these cuff bracelets trying different themes each time. I made one completely of wooden beads and copper wire, another solely of swarovski crystals, another in onyx and swarovski and more. I find the weaving of the beads to be tranquilizing and even though I've planned each bracelet carefully, still I am always pleasantly surprised by the final magical product. And every time I wear these bracelets, I am stopped and asked about them. Once, a bead shop owner recognized that it was "Eni Oken's Cuff Bracelet" design that I was wearing. Thank you, Eni. Suzanne
