Hi everyone, I'm so honored to be a teacher on this wonderful website. The first time I saw Wire Wrapping, (which was the term used then exclusively to identify this art), was at a Gem Show and the artist was Jim Fowler. I immediately fell in love with the technique but could not find anyone who would teach me. I struggled to learn on my own. When the Wire Artist Jeweler magazine was published teaching the techniques and patterns, all the secrets were exposed and a community of wire artists were united. I know how I struggled to learn and I am more than happy to share whatever knowledge I have gained through the years and this is a perfect format to do just that.
The beauty of the older designs is that they incorporate basic techniques that build a solid foundation to learning this art. Many of these designs have been around so long that the original artist has been forgotten, but many of them can be traced back to the original designer.
