About the size chart on the last page....
Hello Bobbi,
I bought this tutorial together with one of your kits in your etsy shop, and I finally found time to try it.
The wire/ring size chart on the last page just keeps confusing me.
For a size 4 it sais this is a circumference size of 51 mm and you need 2 inches of pattern wire.
But I am wearing this 51 mm size on my middle finger and I have always been told (not only by ring size calculators online) that I'd need a US ring size of 5.5 or 6 (depending on the design)- But a size 6 shows up as 57 mm on this chart. What is it that I don't understand about the chart? I wanted to make this ring in the size for my ring finger which is even one size smaller (49 mm in circumference size, approximately size 5, as far as my size calculators are right). Do I really need 54 mm of pattern wire for a 49 mm ring?
The rest of the tutorial is really very clear and easy to understand.
I hope you (or maybe someone else who has already made one of these rings) can help me.
Kerstin

Hi Kirsten -
Many many apologies for the inaccuracies in the chart you have. I posted an updated tutorial here, but didn't get out amended copies to all those who have bought from my shop yet. If you check your email, you'll find an updated tutorial with a correct chart. A dear friend pointed out the errors recently and I was mortified when I realized my measurements were wrong. I hadn't realized it sooner, since I was working from the same chart, based on the measurements taken from measuring my ring mandrel which is obviously not an accurate way to do it. My sincerest apologies.
I have just received your updated tutorial. Thank you - now everything sounds logical :)
