Use the left side bar to see the most recently updated and newest comments. The left sidebar shows only the most recent 5 topics, however, if you click on the TITLE of each category, you can get a list of ALL topics under that category.

You can't actually transfer something you like from the gallery - but rather if you like something that hasn't as yet got a tutorial for it - to put in a "Request Tutorial" for it.
You can also add the item you like to your favourites gallery too if you want.
When your in the gallery at the piece you like/want to request a tut for it - on the right hand side of it you will see a menu - simply click on the button "Request Tutorial" and your request will be added for the teacher to see. Once a tutorial is written for that piece you will be sent an email advising you it is available.
If you just want to add the piece to your favourites list - again simply click on the "Add to favourites" from the right hand side menu.
