A question for Eni about the Ornate Ring tutorial...
May 06, 2009
I just purchased this tutorial and this looks like a most excellent project! My question is, how can I adapt it to make a pendant instead of a ring? I saw in the student gallery that someone did that, and I would like to also. Please help! Thanks!

It's actually a lot easier to make a pendant than the ring, since pendants are normally larger than rings.
Instead of the shank, simply form a shape which fits underneath your stone (let's assume it's a cabochon or coin bead).
The top two wire stick straight up and later can be formed into a bail.
If you are a visual person and need a step by step on how to form it, then use Steps 1 through 13 of the Netted Bezel tutorial (but don't coil it).
