Wire keeps breaking in woven cuff
July 31, 2008
Making the woven cuff was going well until I started to join the two sides together(the zigzag bit) the wire broke so I started over again by joining new wire at the top. Half way down and it has broken again. Would it be ok to join in another bit of wire to finish it off?

You don’t have to start all over again. If the wire breaks, then just unwrap the last few stitches very carefully. Then coil it around the nearest loop three or four times to secure and trim. Take a new length of wire and attach it to the piece by wrapping it three or four times nearby and continue closing the piece.
