Hi, my name is Perri Jackson :^D Did I mention that I love tiny wire details? Textiles have been a source of inspiration since I was very young. The colored embroidery floss was nice - but my favorites were cut work and black&white. These showed off the beauty of the stitches themselves and required a special level of mastery from the person attempting them. I loved rising to the challenge then, and still do! My mom, a professional costumer and tailor whose favorite saying was "Rip it out! It's handmade, not homemade!" trained my critical eye, and influenced me to be more gentle with my students. :^))
In 2006, I was encouraged by healthcare professionals to rehabilitate my broken wrist using my beadwork skills. I found holding a needle was nearly impossible, so I elected to pick up pliers and metal. I've never looked back!
