TUTORIAL:

Butterfly Ring

Description:

This lesson shows how to make a Butterfly Ring. The butterfly shape was adapted from Carolyn Baum’s Jig-formed Butterfly Pendant tutorial.
However I used round nose pliers and hand instead of Jig as it will form a smoother shape for smaller piece.

Special thanks to Carolyn Baum http://www.cbeadsandbuttons.com/) for allowing me creating this tutorial.

Pre-requisite: coiling and weaving technique

could this butterfly be made into earrings or possible a bracelet, necklace or pendant? Really really like it but I don't really do rings, it would be great if there were other options.

This is the cutest little butterfly -- what a great design for girls!

@cdoertel: yes, it can be adapted into bracelet, necklace, pendant or brooch, i've put pics of possible variation in the tutorial. you can also browse it in my gallery here. i haven't made any earrings using this design yet, but i think it is possible to adapt it into earrings as well.
