TUTORIAL:

Cluster Finding

Description:

This pretty cluster-like terminal has a round loop and is perfect to add a finishing touch to a bracelet or necklace. The cluster is built using 18 or 16 ga sterling silver wire, to which beads and pearls are attached with finer 28 ga sterling silver wire. This style is very typical of vintage pieces and also jewelry created in the 40's and 50's.

This tutorial shows only how to do the terminal, not the hook or the stringing.

Post a Tip about this Tutorial

This tutorial was created when I was going through a "vintage" inspirational period -- I was madly in love with Miriam Haskell's custom jewelry, and wanted to find out a way to make a cluster finding without using pre-made stamped filigree.
