Post a Tip about this Tutorial

Looks good, Kiddo!

I am scouting around the hardware stores for the right gauge (large) base wire.

I might also use the braid on on a fold form cuff. I am thinking of 2 long horizontal folds near the top and bottom edges with a medium wide space between for the braid.

Thanks for your work on this tutorial and your willingness to share your ideas.

Becky

You are welcome Becky! Have fun with it! I love your fold formed bracelets!

Try your local electrician supply store for the heavier guage copper wire or you can go tohttp://www.metalclaysupply.com and they have it too.

Dawn

Very nice. I guess one of these days I should post my stuff.

We would all love to see your work Chakanina!

Dawn

Hey, Dawn

Found some 6 gauge, so going to try one tomorrow!

Becky

Good Luck Becky! Have fun with it! Hammering is a great way to get rid of frustration! LOL!

Dawn

I regularly use electrician's ground wire to make bracelets and bangles...it works better if you anneal it first...I guess that defeats the purpose of the cold connection though :). Nice job on the bracelet. It looks great.

Thanks K! I have yet to try soldering copper -- what do you use for solder? Hence the cold connection part!

Dawn

K,

I haven't needed to anneal yet -- but I haven't worked with super heavy wire or done anything fancy yet either.

Dawn

I tried annealing today -- wow, what a difference that makes!

I also tried the pickle plating method and it works really well too!

Dawn

A wonderful bracelet for a man, try it in sterling silver too!
