TUTORIAL:

Fancy Band Prong Ring

Uploaded on: Jan 09, 2009
Level: Advanced
Description:

I love rings!!! I started making this design for me. :-) I wanted something fancier and classier than the norm. This design creates an elegant ring that people are amazed is wire wrapping, probably because it is not your traditional simple cab style.

Fancy Band is an advanced level project, although the instructions are very clear and thorough, and I've had many, many beginner to intermediate students successfully complete this project. It is 13 pages, with 43 clear crisp photos.

A ring chart is included at the end of the tutorial, and by request has been updated to include 1/2 sizes.

This tutorial teaches you step by step, the techniques used to create this design. It is a wonderful design to create an elegant lasting piece of jewelry. The prong setting technique featured in this tutorial was developed by Jorgen Greftegreff.

If you're interested in complete kits - (stone, wire, and pattern wire included), please visithttp://MyWiredImagination.etsy.com - currently there are 14 different patterns available.

This is a really wonderful tutorial, and you make the process really simple and easy to follow, Bobbi! It doesn't hurt that the stone pictured is purple, either! LOL

Where can I buy the pattern wire 2 3/8” (60mm)?

Hi Lizmary_pr - Rio Grande carries pattern wire, though they do have minimum amounts you need to buy - I also carry complete and refill kits in my Etsy shop :)).
