TUTORIAL:

Fantasy Flower Pendant

Uploaded on: Nov 02, 2009
Level: Intermediate
Description:

This lesson teaches you how to make a single layer fantasy flower pendant. In this tutorial, I will demonstrate the making of the flower pendant in the left photo above.
Flowers are the most portrayed subjects in figural jewelry. Dating back to the Victorian era, flowers made a constant appearance in jewels. They became even more popular during the Art Nouveau period, and the popularity of flowers and blossoms in jewelry continues to this day.
In this tutorial, you’ll learn to make a single layer flower pendant with a cluster of stones in the center. After making a single layer flower, it’s very easy to transition to double, triple and even more layers, which I explain how to do at the end of the tutorial.
Once you have completed the tutorial, you’ll have a creative design you can add to your wire jewelry offerings. The design can be adapted to encompass different shapes, as well as various beads and gemstones, and a mix of wire colors, making each one unique. You can also make earrings with this design.
