  1. Twist chips in the same directionby Chloe_s_MomPosted on - Sun, 02/14/2010 - 06:35

Post a Tip about this Tutorial

About 2 years ago, I bought a pile of colored Wood Beads in 2 Sizes. I made bracelets galore! From Grandmothers to teenagers, from stay at home moms to executive women all loved them. I only made one necklace. Bracelets I could keep up with, collars I couldn't. These are such beautiful examples and to see what the students did with what they learned are all unique. Thank you all for beautiful work!

Thank you for your interest, Gwynettekea. Its actually a rather easy collar to make - just twisting chips on to thin wires, basically, then scrunching the whole thing into shape. And yes, aren't the "students" just wonderful with all the beautiful and different collars they've posted pics of. I'm so proud of them.

What is the finished length in Inches?
Carolyh

About 18" plus 2.5" for the extension chain. When you get to Step 15 and start "scrunching" the collar, you can adjust the length by scrunching more or less to suit yourself, remembering to allow for the length of the cones and the clasp. Good luck with it, and let me know if you have any problems.
