Pat, as usual, a superb tutorial! Thank you so much for posting this one...
Eni

Pat, very nice design!

Thank You Eni, I have wanted to write a tutorial on this one for some time now I'm so glad I finally did it.
Thanks for all your help, Pat...................

Thank You XQ, I hope it brings enjoyment to whoever chooses to make it and wear it. I have always enjoyed making and wearing this ring. Thanks for your comment
Pat.................. :-D

Pat, thank you, I teach wire wrapping and one of my favourite and most requested lessons is your Hug Ring. I gave my parents matching hug rings for thier 50th wedding aniversary. My Mom wore hers until she passed away this year. Thank you very much for your inspiration

Thank You Jenny that is a very touching story. It's every artist dream to know that their creations gave someone enjoyment. It makes all the hard work and what ever negativity that might have transpired all worth it.
Thank you again Jenny for sharing your wonderful story.
Pat............. :-D

Great ring Pat, thanks for posting this tutorial. I really like the way you show it done in different metals and that it can be made for men too.

Thanks Pat for posting this lovely ring, I'm a beginner but I think I might be able to do this. : O )

Thank you Tinamia, it is a versatile ring and pretty easy to do with just a little practice. To make one for a man use a heavier gauge wire. With or without twisting the outside wires.
Pat.........:-D

Don't be afraid of it LinRose it's really not that hard to do. I'm sure as a beginner you can do this one, just take it slow and if you are feeling insecure use practice wire while you are learning. Copper works a little better than bronze since it has a softer temper. If you need any help, let me know you where to find me. :-D
Thanks for the comment, Pat............:-D

Great tutorial, Pat, clear and easy to follow. I made a man-size ring in 1mm square sterling (didn't have any square 20g, and I was too impatient to wait for it), but my son is wearing it now so I can't post a photo until next time he's home.
Barbara

Thanks zoeshipscat, Glad you had success with using round wire and found the tutorial easy to follow. :-D You son is a lucky guy to have a special ring made by Mom just for him. Thats one of the things I really like about this design that it can be made for men as well as women. Can't wait to see the photo. :-D
Pat........ :-}

Thanks zoeshipscat, for posting your ring on the students gallery. What a great job you did. I'm so happy that you son likes it so much it won't even take it off for the picture. :-D :-D It will be interesting to see how sturdy that ring really is, worn by a big strong construction worker. My money is on the ring holding up. Your son is a lucky guy to have such a talented Mom.
Pat......... :-D

This is absolutely beautiful and really I would expect nothing less from you Pat. I have been wrapping for a little more than a month and it is easy to understand and I know I will love it! The clean lines are elegant and beautiful which is a trademark of your work. I knew I had seen it somewhere else and when I read it was the one in the magazine I realized that was where I had seen it! I am so grateful you wrote this.

Thanks!

~Dharlee

Thank you Dharlee, I'm so proud of you that you have not been working in wire very long and you have been able to accomplish what you have. :-D Yes the Hug Ring appeared in the Wire Artist Jeweler Magazine in the Feb 2004 issue, and there were a lot of issues that surrounded that ring. I am so happy that I decided to write my own tutorial on this design. :-D
Thank you for all the kind things you have to say about my work I really appreciate it. :-D :-D
Pat........... :-D
