Description:

This new weaving technique is quite easy to learn, in this tutorial it will be shown to you step by step. The variation between the graceful swirls and the woven squares of this bracelet is giving it an interesting tension. Lots of fun to make and a new technique is always asking for new designs!!!

  1. Wrapping without Slippingby shaktipajPosted on - Sat, 11/29/2008 - 11:12

Post a Tip about this Tutorial

OMG! A NEXT purchase! NaturalJewels, this is such a beautiful original! I gotta try it! Look at you! You're just zipping along with those FAB designs of yours! Any tips to keep those "Round on Round" wrapped wire from slipping & buckling? Thanks! Juli :)

Hey Juli, thank you, I'm so glad you like it. About the slipping: once you have made 2 or 3 links, you can do it with your eyes closed. Well..... no, not really, because you have to keep checking, but it does get much easier!

Diny, In one photo, you show the bracelet laid out flat - so that leads me to think the coils between the 'link' elements must sort of act like hinges. Is that the case?

There's one way to find out..... I'm not giving away the secret.... ;-)

Just downloaded the tutorial and read the instructions thoroughly. Thank you for taking the time to really do such great instructions. I can't wait to start this one.
Christy

I have made 2 bracelets from your instructions which were very easy to follow. The copper one is as lovely as the silver. Wonderful technique. Thank you.
