TUTORIAL:

This lesson will shows how to make a simple textured pair of earrings using Precious Metal Clay. This is a beginner level project and can be done using any number of found objects for texture. Here I use an antique rolling pin, but I have also used buttons, onion bags, a needle tool, a thimble and more on other projects. You may also use a purchased texture plate if you wish.

• Materials: · PMC3
• Sterling ear wires or wire to make your own

• Tools: Round nose pliers
• Wire cutters
• Buffing station or hand buffing tools
• Tumbler
• Texture plate or textured item
• PMC keeper or plastic wrap
• PMC thickness guides or deck of cards
• Klaycutter or cookie cutter shape of choice
• Needle files
• PMC work surface
• Mist bottle filled with water
• Slip balm or cool slip spray
• Hand files
