TUTORIAL:

S'Ispilla

Uploaded on: Jun 14, 2009
Level: Advanced
Description:

The Sardinian Brooch is a very popular adornment in female fashion and it is widespread in almost all the island.
In the past centuries the brooch was used to hold the headdress of the traditional dress.
It has a red stone (or a big red glass stone) in the centre and small baroque pearls around it.

This tutorial presents my personal version of the filigree of the traditional Sardinian Brooch.
The ancient Mediterranen arts still live in the entwining of women of the new millenium, isn’t it great?
