TUTORIAL:

Something New Viking Weave

Uploaded on: Jan 02, 2010
Level: Intermediate
Description:

This tutorial is more about the project presented than the actual technique of the single knit viking weave. However the tutorial is written with simplified basic step by step instructions for the single knit viking weave,to the completion of making a bracelet filled with beads or crystals.
This tutorial is written for the intermediate, but want to point out that I have had pre teens make this weave with just getting them started, they went on and finished the chain,so any beginner should give this a try.
These bracelets are very beautiful and with ease to make.

Wow!! This is absolutely gorgeous!! I love this knit and the beauties "hiding" inside makes it even more beautiful!

As a Viking descendant, I feel I ought to be able to master this technique. What better way to learn than making a lovely project at the same time?

Thank you so much for offering this tutorial, FeelingStone!!

I'm presently in Spain, but as soon as I get back home to all my tools and materials, you can be sure I'm going to try this one out!

Hi lisejuul,
This is my favorite in the neclace department, I am not into pendants for myself much, but this bracelet or necklace is by itself enough for style and design.
Thank you

Awesome! I am going to make a 100 of these! One for each outfit that I own! I love how you can add the different beads colors...I like these types of designs that I can do over and over with different colors to make for different outfits! Thanks feelingstone!

I'm going to give Viking Knit one last try. I love the way feelingstone does her tutorials and with dawn's glowing review I'm hopeful that this tutorial just might do the trick. It's my last try. I have faith though I know this time is the one. Off to get the tutorial and try again.

Hi Jackie,
Thanks for the lovely tut. I did not have high hopes of making it work, but after pulling it through the drawplate, voila!it was transformed. I love how versatile it is and I was able to combine 2 tuts into with my project, which I will post soon online. You made it so easy.
