Description:

In this detailed tutorial you will learn how to make this lovely gemstone embellished butterfly. I will show you step-by-step how to create all the separate elements and how they are brought together to create a unique stylised butterfly. The elements include creating the symmetrical outer frame, the woven spirals in the wings, wrapped bead connectors (used in connecting the butterfly to the chain) and also a method for a wrapped briolette bead.
The materials listed below are the ones I used to create the silver and amethyst butterfly in the first picture.
There are 36 steps illustrated with over 100 photographs.
Huge thanks go to Pia (Silverlox) for proofreading and testing the tutorial.

Yay! Fee, thanks for hurrying with the tut. Added it to my cart. Had plenty of other tuts on my wishlist, but have to try this one first.
Jana

This is so cute! I am glad you did a tut!

The pleasure was all mine!! :-D

My thanks to YOU, for trusting such an unwritten card as myself with the result of your endeavours. Considering that I have had no pictures to show at all, I think that was very courageous of you!

You've done a marvellous job with this tut! So easy to follow, even for a complete newbie like me.

I'll try to get a picture of the result posted as soon as possible.

Thanks Jana! I really hope you enjoy making the butterfly, don't hesitate if you need to ask anything!

Thanks Iola, pleased that you like it :D

Gosh, Miss Perri, coming from you that means a lot - thank you! :D

Best thing about your fab tutorial fee, from an english girl, is that the wire measurements are shown in mm size AND gauge of wire. Thank you for that!

Too pretty Fee!!!

Thank you ,suzanne

Really pleased you like the butterfly Suzanne, I would love to see what you create! If you need to ask any questions please don't hesitate :)

A lovely harbinger of Spring, Miss Fee! Not only is it a pretty pendant, but it is also a great lesson in wire construction. I think an entire necklace of them in different sizes and colors would be stunning!
